Salto
The Salto system is based on an electronic modular door lock which, when the correct
fob is used, will allow the external handle to be depressed so that the door can be
unlocked. Egress is permitted at all times via the internal lever handle.
The basic systems are:
Salto Smile
The "Salto Smile" system is an easy-to-use access control system that can be a
single door or a multiple door system where user fobs are added and deleted by
using a master programming fob. There is also a "shadow" fob for each user fob
which allows you to delete an individual user even if their fob has been lost.
As each lock is a compact unit with a lock case, handles, microprocessor and a
battery, no cabling or software is required. The usual life expectancy of the
battery is between two to four years.
Average cost for an installation can vary between £250 to £300 plus VAT per door.
User fobs are £4.60 plus VAT each, dependant on quantity. Please contact us
with your door requirements so that we can provide you with an accurate quote.
Salto ROM
The "Salto ROM" system is an offline access control solution
which allows for a mixture of stand-alone handle sets and hard wired fob
readers, all controlled by the Pro-Access software system.
With a maximum capacity of 1,000 users per door, it offers greater flexibility
and control than the "Smile" system, with added features such as a 680 event
audit trail for each door and programmable time zones for different users or groups.
A hand held programmer is used to transfer data between the software and each
door, and the hard wired readers can operate a variety of different security
devices such as electric strikes and electromagnets. Please contact us with
your door requirements so that we can provide you with an accurate quote.
Salto RW
The "Salto RW" system uses Read/Write proximity technology to
allow you to create a virtual online access system, using the fobs/cards as the
data carriers. The cards are data active and store information which is read by
the lock.
This means that the cards store the access allowances of the users and
their time-zone restrictions, etc. The locks only store such information as their
own timed operations and a list of users that are barred from entry ("Black
List").
Programming a card for a lock will allow the card to carry information regarding
its access, or access changes to the locks in the system. As well as only
operating the locks it is allowed to, it will also write any changes to the
Black List to every door that it is presented to, therefore allowing it to
remove another users access from the lock.
The online readers also act as updating points, i.e. every card that is
presented to an updating reader will have the latest version of the Black List
written on to it, before being granted access. The cards also hold a personal
audit trail, which is downloaded to the host software automatically via the
online readers.
With the "RW" system, the users themselves are constantly updating the system
simply by using their cards to open doors. This is known as Salto Virtual Net
(SVN). Please contact us with your door requirements so that we can provide you
with an accurate quote. |
