Retail Tagging Systems

Electronic article surveillance can provide protection of hard and soft retail goods.

The systems consist of antennas at the exit points and tags in the form of paper labels or hard tags that are attached to the goods.

This means that almost any object can be protected from clothes to books via the same technology.

By linking the tagging antennas to a CCTV system, cameras can be programmed to zoom onto the exit point to capture a more detailed image of the person leaving

Although these systems are most often used in retail applications and libraries, they can also be used within business premises to track laptops and other valuable items (even people!).
